Everything You Need to Know

Do I need to be home during the unpacking process?
No, it is completely up to you. You are welcome to be home and involved, or you can step away and let us take care of everything. If needed, we can always reach out during the process with any questions.
Do you offer organizing as part of the unpacking process?
Yes. All of our unpacking services include organizing. As we unpack, we also set up each space so your items are put away in a clean, functional, and easy-to-maintain way.
Do you bring your own supplies?
Yes. We bring basic supplies such as scissors and trash bags to handle packing materials and keep the process moving efficiently. You do not need to provide anything.
How do you decide where everything goes?
Before your session, we gather information about your preferences and how you use your space so we have a clear plan. During the process, we place items where they make the most sense functionally. If any questions come up, we will check in with you.
How long does unpacking typically take?
It depends on the size of the space and the number of items being unpacked. At the time of booking, we will give you an estimate of what can be completed during your session and how many sessions may be needed.
Can you unpack while movers are still there?
Yes, but it is not ideal. Unpacking and organizing requires space to lay everything out and work efficiently, and having movers in the home at the same time can make the process more crowded. For the best results, we recommend scheduling unpacking for after the move is complete, whether that is later the same day or the following day.
What if my boxes are not labeled when you arrive?
That is not a problem. We will ask about this during your consultation so we know what to expect. Unlabeled boxes can take a bit longer since we need to go through items to figure out where everything belongs, but we handle it all the time and will still get everything unpacked and set up.
Will you break down all the boxes when you are done?
Yes. We break down all boxes and organize the packing materials into a neat pile. If you would like them disposed of, we can help place them in your trash or set them out for pickup. If you have boxes you no longer want, we are also happy to take them to reuse. Just let us know in advance.
