Unpacking & Organizing Children’s Bedrooms in New Orleans

3Bedrooms unpacked

After moving into a new home in New Orleans, our client wanted help getting her three children’s bedrooms unpacked and set up so they could settle into their new spaces.

With school, extracurricular activities, and everyday life keeping the family busy, having someone handle the unpacking saved her time and energy. One team member worked on two girls’ bedrooms and one boy’s bedroom during a six-hour session.

From Moving Boxes to Ready-to-Use Bedrooms

Our team member unpacked toys, clothes, books, and other belongings and put them away in dressers, closets, baskets, bins, and other storage areas. The goal was to give everything a place so each child could begin using their bedroom rather than waiting for the remaining boxes to be unpacked.

She also broke down boxes and cleaned up packing materials as she worked, keeping the unpacking process from leaving another cleanup job behind.

Bedroom 1 The Sage Bedroom

Toys, stuffed animals, and belongings were spread across the floor alongside moving boxes. After unpacking, toys were arranged around the room and grouped in baskets and bins, leaving the rug open for the child to use.

Bedroom 2 The Navy Bunk Bedroom

Moving boxes occupied the floor and dresser in the boy’s bedroom. Our team member unpacked his belongings and put clothes, toys, and books into the room’s storage areas so the bedroom was ready to use.

Bedroom 3 The Pink Bedroom

The second girl’s room had boxes and belongings waiting to be put away. Toys, books, clothes, and other items were unpacked and organized into the dresser, closet, baskets, bins, and other available storage, giving each group a place.

Three Bedrooms Finished, Plus Help in the Kitchen

All three children’s bedrooms were completely unpacked and organized within the six-hour session. With some time remaining, our team member also helped with additional unpacking in the kitchen.

The children could get settled into their bedrooms sooner, and the client had fewer boxes and packing materials to manage while the family adjusted to their new home.
